A New Age for Cosmetic Procedures

Published on: August 8, 2014

With the use of advanced medical practices and tumescent (cosmetic) anesthesia, cosmetic procedures are becoming easier, less invasive, and ultimately less expensive to perform. Patients now have an array of procedures that can shed years off of their appearance without having to worry about significant downtime or recovery. It’s no wonder that the amount of cosmetic procedures being performed has more than doubled in the past 15 years. One of these procedures that is becoming more and more popular is The One Hour face lift.

The One Hour Face Lift vs. Traditional Face Lift

As we get older, our face is often hit the hardest with age. Whether it be wrinkles, sagging skin, or overhanging jowls, the face often falls victim to heavy signs of aging that jeopardize its once youthful structure. In years past, people would often turn to a traditional facelift to correct signs of aging in the face. This extensive procedure can cost anywhere between $6,000 to $15,000 and usually requires a hefty recovery time. Additionally, this procedure typically uses general anesthesia, which can add a significant amount of risk. The Hour Lift is an alternative to the traditional facelift that yields great results without all of the drawbacks.

What to Expect From The Hour Lift

Through The Hour Lift, a tumescent anesthesia is used to locally numb the face while the patient remains conscious. Once no pain is felt in the targeted area, the doctor will create a small incision near the front of the ear. Rather than moving the facial muscles as is done in a traditional facelift, the doctor will tighten the underlying muscles. In addition, any extra skin in the area is removed and re-draped to create firmer and tighter skin within the face. After approximately one hour of surgery, the patient is to wear an ice garment for 24-48 hours and is permitted to return to normal activities within three days. When it is all said and done, the patient’s face will have raised cheeks, a strengthened jaw line, a tighter neck, and ultimately less wrinkles. Overall, the procedure is said to knock off approximately 10 years of aging from the face with results lasting up to 5-10 years depending on the patient.

If you feel the age of your face does not reflect how you want to feel consider The Hour Lift. Compared to facelifts of the past, this procedure is safer, more effective, and will have you showing off your rejuvenated look in a matter of days.
